Congrats Tammy - TD Tennis Tournament Champ!
05.21.2006
Congratulations to Tammy, Robert, and Sandra - our inaugural winner, runner-up and 3rd place finisher in the TD Tennis Tournament!  On a beautiful day, 9 TD tennis players played for nearly three hours in an evenly matched tournament.  At the end, Tammy prevailed with a record of 16-9, while Robert was 15-10, and Sandra was 13-12.  It was a great day of great tennis!  We'll definitely do it again! Some photos have been added to the Multimedia Section.
Olympics Update
05.21.2006
We had a blast at the TD Olympics as the three teams of Counselors, Freshmen, and Senior/Frosh/Soph competed in a variety of athletic events of skill, speed, strength, and accuracy.  In the end, the counselors prevailed in a close contest with a score of 96, while the other two teams tied with 90.  Above all, it was fun ... and tiring!
CONGRATS, KATHY AND JENNY!!!  We're proud of you!!!
04.27.2006
Kathy and Jenny both did an INCREDIBLE (!!!) job in proclaiming God's truth at TD's inaugural participation in the CA So. Baptist State Youth Speakers Tournament in Fresno ... just fantastic.  And wouldn't you know it, Kathy won 1st Place!!!

As the state champion, Kathy will give her speech before thousands of people at the CSBC's annual youth conference, Tsunami, in December.  You'll get to hear their speeches at the TD Year-End Banquet on June 24. Some photos have been added to the Multimedia Section.
A Sizzling Night at Grill-a-Christian!
04.06.2006
Thanks to all who worked diligently, prepared faithfully, and performed beautifully at Grill-a-Christian.  With over 100 people in attendance, we had a perfect blend of teaching, Q & A, music, and drama ... and don't forget the food!  Feedback has been encouraging as many were encouraged and edified in pro-life truth, thanks to Steve Wagner.  Look for the video in the near future, and review it so you can make a difference too.

Counselors Show Mercy to TD'ers
04.06.2006
After defeating the TD'ers in Whiffle Ball I, the counselors felt sorry for their students in Whiffle Ball II, so they tried to build up their self-esteem by letting the TD'ers finally feel what victory tastes like.  The score was 11-2, and, boy, did the TD'ers enjoy that!  Well, truthfully, the TD'ers jumped on the counselors early and never let up, playing hard nosed defense the rest of the way.  We had lots of fun and laughs, though some counselors were rumored to be sore the next day (we won't mention her name, but her initials are JT!).  We look forward to Whiffle Ball III !

Praise God for a Great Retreat! We thank the Lord for meeting with us during a special winter retreat. Many have been "made over" and have begun a course of living that will lead them to God's heart. Others who have been stumbling along were strengthened to walk a more stable and focused walk. Many thanks to our awesome counselors and to our super seniors for giving their hearts and energy to making it such a great time! Pictures are up in the Multimedia Section.

Time to Give Thanks
11.08.2005

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever(!)"  Psalm 118:1

It's November.  Our forefathers have wisely set time aside for reflection, so we can remember the areas in our lives that we so often take for granted.

Nick Vujicic writes, "As I grew older God continued to prepare my heart and teach me to seek Him. One of the first lessons that I have learnt was not to take things for granted (emphasis mine). I had that wake up call around the age of twelve and realized just how much I was blessed with. I take my foot for granted, my family, and the fact that I wasn't born in a third world country - all blessings that God had freely given and I still complain?"

This realization was a real turning point for Nick, and it can be for you.  Click here for Arthur's devotion on how to "know Him" in an extra special way this Thanksgiving month and be prepared for the joy to follow.

Congratulations to Those Who Were Baptized!

Candace, George, and Peter, we witnessed your public declaration that Jesus is Lord and that, by His grace, you will follow Him all the days of your life.  We rejoice with you and aim to keep you accountable to your vows!
Praise God for an Incredible Weekend of ... God!
10.03.2005
Praise #1:  9/30 - Kudos to all of you who participated in and/or brought friends to "The Noise We Make"!  It was a wonderful night and you all did a terrific job!  Please pray for the seeds that were sown.

Praise #2: 10/1 - The Joni and Friends "Through the Roof" conference was a great opportunity for us to serve and learn.  Much thanks to all who volunteered (over 20!).  We were all blessed to serve and to hear the incredible speakers (including Nick Vujicic)!  Our lives were touched.  The Lord is preparing us for something ...!

Praise #3: 10/2 - What an unbelievable afternoon with Nick Vujicic!!!  We all were touched and challenged by God in a powerful way, through His servant, to get on the front lines and glorify God in ALL circumstances.  Unforgettable.  What's also amazing is the teamwork of the body of Christ to get an event like this together in less than 24 hours!  When God wants to do something,  there's no stopping Him.
