My other question is do you believe demon-possession still occurs and what do you do if you suspect someone might be?

This one is much shorter. Sure, I do. In fact, I'd be surprised if it isn't far more common than ever. Obviously, the OT and NT demonstrate that it's not only possible but DOES happen, and I'm not familiar with any Scripture that says it has stopped, though I wish it did. In fact, I believe I've encountered it first hand before, and I know some who say they have too (incl. a friend from Grace Comm. Church). Actually, some stories I've heard are quite "freaky."

I'm no expert in dealing with demon-possession. All I know is that we need to speak the truth (the WORD!) in love (and sometimes love must be tough) at all times. Scripture is the "fuel" by which the Holy Spirit moves and acts. Scripture is what Satan twisted to deceive Adam and Eve, and what He twisted to try to deceive and tempt Jesus. The truth, which is Scripture, is what Jesus used as His sword against Satan; it's what Adam and Eve should have used too, but their hearts weren't right anyway.

If that's Jesus' power against Satan himself, I figure it should be good against his demons too.

Don't know if you wanted more than that, but I'm getting sleepy.
